Customer feedback about Thorogood Building & Roofing Contractor's work

We both felt it more important to use a company threw their reputation and results than getting the cheapest. The workmen that did our roof were great, they just got on with the job, they were very polite, extremely hard working, and always had a smile. I'm sure they appreciated the cups of tea and biscuits I gave them. Good quality tiles were used, and when the job was complete, they left the patio spotless. We will definately be using them again.

And of course I cant leave Doug out, when he wasn't busy doing other things, he always popped round when he could just to make sure everything was going ok. Thanks again for a great job.

As architect of the Coopers Cross contract I recommended Doug Thorogood as main contractor after the job was put out for competitive tender. His submission was professional and attention to detail at the contract stage made the work progress smoothly with no surprises.

As Coopers Cross is a grade 11 listed building and therefore had to be carried out by craftsmen with traditional materials, and with its many complicated and difficult details, required careful execution. Doug Thorogood and his men were more than equal to the task -- at no time during the progress of the job did the work fall below his very high standards.

I can say for my part, it was a very easy and productive relationship, resulting in a finished building of high quality workmanship that is a credit to him and his team, giving great satisfaction to the client.

I am looking forward to working with Doug on another contract scheduled for the next year.

Doug and his team have now carried out two jobs for us with which we are delighted. We were particularly pleased with their attention to detail; our brickwork, carpentry, roof (including intricate leadwork) and floor tiling are skilfully done, and throughout the projects, we had assistance with ideas, and solutions to unexpected problems when they arose. We would certainly ask Doug to do future building work for us and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Just writing to record our thanks for the helpful advice you gave us on our house roof and for the excellent job you did on our garage roof last year. The price was fair, the workforce friendly and helpful, and we have been very pleased with the end result. We particularly appreciated the care which was taken to produce a quality finish.

This company is a gem. Good value for money combined with excellent attention to detail. We had four large outbuildings hot-felted this year: their men were genuinely concerned with delivering quality and incorporated details that showed their mastery of the process. Variations and repairs to existing timbers were dealt with sensibly and economically. I can recommend this company wholeheartedly.

We are absolutely delighted with our patio. It was exactly what we wanted and was constructed with high quality materials and to an excellent standard of workmanship. The company's workmen were polite, highly skilled and the work was finished on time. We would not hesitate to use the company again.
